Abstract:
Artificial intelligence is experiencing explosive development, and clarifying how enterprises can leverage this favorable trend to innovate their business models holds significant practical and theoretical importance. This paper selects DingTalk, DTDream, Wuchan Zhongda Ecommerce, and Kylin Software as interview enterprises. Based on semi-structured interview materials and internal and external enterprise materials, we summarize the mechanism through which artificial intelligence motivates corporate business model innovation, then select Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies as samples to empirically test the aforementioned mechanism. The research finds that artificial intelligence drives enterprises to improve customer portfolio diversification, helps enterprises accurately identify demand-side opportunity windows, and assists enterprises in enhancing R&D investment intensity, thereby promoting corporate business model innovation through both risk resistance capability and innovation momentum. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the promotional effect of artificial intelligence on corporate business model innovation is more pronounced in larger enterprises, state-owned enterprises, high capital-intensive enterprises, and enterprises in National Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zones. Further research reveals that artificial intelligence promotes enterprise growth and enhances enterprise premium capability by driving corporate business model innovation. This paper extends related research on artificial intelligence empowering enterprise development and provides reference for technology-enabled business model reconstruction and promoting high-quality economic development.
